A glance through the History:

The company was initially founded as Keypoint Technology Corporation in 1987 by James Chu, a Taiwanese-born American businessman. In 1990, it launched the ViewSonic line of colour computer monitors to rename itself after the brand.

In the mid-1990s, ViewSonic rose to become one of the highest-rated makers of computer CRT monitors, alongside Sony, NEC, MAG Innovision, and Panasonic. ViewSonic soon raced over these companies to emerge as the most extensive display manufacturer from America/Japan at the turn of the millennium.

In 2000, ViewSonic acquired the Nokia Display Products’ branded business.

In 2002 ViewSonic announced a 3840 × 2400 WQUXGA, 22.2-inch monitor, VP2290.

In early 2003, ViewSonic was the first manufacturer to bring Smart Display to the market, with the Airpanel V150 which featured a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor and a USB wireless hub for the host PC.

At the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show, ViewSonic introduced display products, namely a projector, monitors and an HDTV set, capable of being connected directly to a video iPod.

Cinema SuperColor™ technology: ViewSonic’s exclusive Cinema Supercolor™ Technology has generated the ability to optimize movie colour schemes. Colour modes such as Complementary colour scheme or Analogous colour scheme deliver aesthetic colour harmonies.

PortAll® compartment: ViewSonic’s exclusive PortAll® feature is a hidden compartment with an integrated and secure MHL/HDMI port that allows to stream multimedia content from the wireless dongles. It also provides to stream movies or music from smartphones or tablets, allowing the projector to act as a smart TV.

Rec.709 HDTV standard: The projector achieves excellent international Rec.709 HDTV standard for colour accuracy, which produces a distinctive, breathtaking cinematic colour similar to that of a movie theatre.

ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) Calibration Modes: With ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) certified calibration tools built-in, it allows for on-site tuning of Day and Night modes. The customized mode will become the default mode, fine-tuned to meet user requirements for bright and dark environments.
